the authentic is quite beautiful lines one to each other
the fake one have a distance with another line, really bad :(
the authentic has a beautiful emboss
the fake is too hard enough to make the emboss, so it uses a white ink
see the beautiful emboss ?
the authentic one has a number of 4 and 8 in really natty way :)
the fake , is that any possibility that MAC have a really that bad packaging?
the fake MAC i bought from ebay, the seller have more than 1900 feedback with 99,6% percentage
and now i really scare to buy another MAC things at ebay again :(

I think what you got was real. Ebay is a grey market that means goods come from over there and are brought over here. Goods brought over here are sold over there. Basically all these countries are selling to each other these goods. Fake mac tends to be obviously fake. like a different textured case would be fake or if it had a makeup applicator for a eyeshadow that would be fake. How do sellers get these items? Some sellers work at MAC and use their discounts. Others recieve the product via closeout centers. Closeout/shelve pull centers for high end makeup do exist but are not advertised by the brand due to branding issues.
ReplyDeleteI sell authentic MAC makeup on Amazon and I look through all my items to make sure that they are real. I compare with the store, I compare with pictures, I read up on what fake mac makeup looks like.
How do I know all this info? I'm a purchase exec. for a trading company in NY and I learned a little something something there.
For ebay, look carefully at pictures and feedback. If most people think the goods are authentic they probably are. People buying on Ebay most likely already have the item but ran out. So they have an authentic item from the Mac boutique that they can compare to.

there's a lot of fake mac cosmetics that's invading the net.. and i hope mac can do something about it.. i also got a fake lipstick, i know its fake because of the texture and price from the authentic is a lot more different..

ReplyDeletelol SAME!! I'm a little concerned about the ingredients but MAC uses slightly harmful ingredients in the first place so what can ya do?
Deletei just bought a faoundation and conceler and found out its a fake too :( i am so frikin mad i was so happy and the minute i tried it on it felt greasy and the mineral powder with the conceler left my face a bit sparkly i look all shiny and sticky, i fastly knew it wasnt an autentic MAC!
ReplyDeletei googled the name in the bottom of my conceler and the result was a BT MINERAL conceler try it for your selves it's a sheer container and has double lid inside you find the conceler i'll post the picture soon BEWARE FOR PIRACY specially in mexico!!!
I just got a pink cult blush, Mac from ebay and it feels a bit different than my other mac blushes.. I am worried it might be fake.. it had no sticker with the name but the name was printed on the package like this: pink cult (it had a little more space between the "L and the T"but not a full blank caracter) I guess the colour is fine it might have been used once hard to tell, the case has a little scratch..
ReplyDeleteI just purchased a studio fix at a mac store (official) and fine has the white emnoss on the bottom. Now i know South Coast Plaza Mac official store wont sell fake. Maybe yours is real!
