How to spot FAKE MAC brushes.

How to spot FAKE MAC brushes

( reposted by me , see http://www.pandapalette.com)

So quite a while ago i bought 12 piece MAC brush set.. my first ebay fraud... that brushes weren't that bad and i didn't pay that much but the seller promised me it was authentic and it even came with a plastic with the bar code and everything... I was so confused if it was real as at that time i had only one MAC brush.
So as time went by and i started collecting more MAC brushes bought at MAC store i realized they were fake...

So this blog is to show you the difference between the real deal and the fake ones..

These are the fake and authentic MAC 150 brushes.. the one on top is fake and the bottom one is authentic. As you can clearly see the authentic brush has a longer handle
If you can see here also.... (fake brush Left .... authentic brush right) the place where the handle meets the brush hold.. the rounded silver holders are more rounded.
This is the MAC 224 brushes.. The left one is fake and the right one is authentic. However this time the fake brush has the longer handle.
In this picture the top brush is fake and the bottom one is authentic. You can see the gap of the line in the silver holder.. The authentic brush has a wider gap.
These are my MAC 219 pencil brushes. Top brush is authentic and the bottom one is the fake brush.
As you can see the authentic brush has a longer handle.
The top brush is authentic and the bottom is fake. Here the authentic brush has a narrower gap between the lines.
These are the pencil brushes again (left fake and right authentic) as you can see the fake brush has longer bristles and also when you press down with you finger the authentic brush has a stronger stand when it comes to bristles.

Few tips to spot and that can help you buy authentic MAC brushes online.
1. It is always good to research your seller if you can but always remember the feedbacks on ebay is not always accurate and many people don't know the difference so they way give positive feedback.
2. Try to pay with paypal there is a better chance to get your money back when you report with paypal then paying with your card.
3. And also email and ask them if they say it is authentic and you have it in mail you always have prove to send or do something about the seller giving you fakes.
4. Some brushes really do look real even if they aren't, always remember that so if the price is too good to be true think again.
5. Not all online brushes are fake.. i bough from all cosmetic wholesale and they sold me authentic brushes.

One thing to remember is that my fake brushes weren't really that bad.. and i paid really cheap for them.. the face brushes run at times but when it dries it doesnt do much also the real bristles are much softer than the fake ones i have but for practice they weren't that bad..
Best place to buy tho is at the MAC store if you can. :-)

Hope this helped!!!

Much love to you all!!
